My wife and I are accompanying our friend who was diagnosed to have The Big C (http://myeeepcmylife.com.ph/dlreyes/the-big-c-is-not-ok/). She is undergoing a CT Scan here in Medical City and while waiting outside by the reception area of the Radiology Department, I sit down and observe people who come and go.
The waiting area’s seating configuration is made in such a way that the two rows of chairs are facing each other separated by an aisle where people pass.
In front of me sits a medical practitioner with a face mask on. Out of her bag, she brings out a laptop… no… a black shiny netbook with the familiar Eee written on the middle of its cover. “I am not alone”, I tell myself, “I am in good company… I am not alien!” So I bring out my trustee 1000HE but nowhere was there a wifi signal. “Never fear, my 3G dongle is here” and voom… I’m connected to the internet.
Just as I was about to ask her if she wants to share my connection, her cellphone rings and down goes the cover of her Eee. She glances at me (or was it my Eee) then hurriedly stands up and leaves her chair empty… but not for long…
As soon as she leaves, a young hot lady wearing the shortest skirt I’ve seen in years sits exactly where the other woman left off. Ooolala… I couldn’t resist not looking at her as we exchanged sharp glances at each other… Is it me, or is it the Eee? She is daring but I am daring too and my thoughts just suddenly tell me that she wants to be taken… suddenly, the gates open in front of me and heaven is shown … YES… it is a scene reminiscent of Sharon Stone crossing her legs from the movie “Basic Instinct”!
My oh my , it’s my lucky day… my lap is getting warmer and the temperature seems to be rising…. Is it she? Or is it my Eee?
“The scan is finished”, our friend tells my wife who has been reading a book the whole time this was happening. Oh well, all good things have to end.
Is it me? Or is it the Eee? It could be either or but I sure won’t mind accompanying my friend to the hospital for her tests if only because of this. Truly, radiology is OK.
EeePC Log : Cast no doubt that the Eee PC is not only a tool for productivity but as proven in my experience, having it may actually help attract people to each other.
