“Mamimiss ko kayong lahat My Eee PC My Life Blog bloggers!”

farewell

Farewell My Eee PC My Life Blog!!!

My Eee PC My Life Blog blogging has been very good to me. I’ve loved how it’s honed my writing skills, I love the friendships I’ve developed through this site and I love the community it afforded me, especially when I was in a place of having very little access to community as a stay-home-after-work buddy.

I love the thoughts it’s given me, the thoughts it’s sharpened in me, the ways I’ve been forced to grow for almost three months. I am so thankful for all of that. I’d be a big liar if I said that the My Eee PC My Life Blog on the online world hasn’t been a huge source of strength and personal growth for me.

Yet, while I’m sitting here contemplating my history on this blogsite, I have to be honest and admit that I usually fight with a more addictive side of it, a compulsion to go check my dashboard…again…to check the comments box, again, these little twenty second peeks here and there that really steal much more of my time than I’d probably like to know.

I hate the addictive side of this blogsite, my niece standing right next to me wanting me to look at his Lego creation and me batting him away, mumbling, “Just give me a minute and then I’ll look,” my eyes glued to Mystique’s screen carefully pouring over words on it from some person who lives somewhere that I don’t even know. :) But it’s all worth it.

I’ve had better times and worse times with the addictive side of My Eee PC My Life Blog, but it’s always been a challenge. Good things usually come with a dangerous aspect to it, much like the all-you-can-eat buffet. It’s fun to enjoy this, but if I ate like that every day, I’d double my weight in no time.  So, if there was a scale for over-Eee-consumption, I’d probably be pretty depressed.

During a portion of August, I was without internet access for a few days which means no access to My Eee PC My Life Blog site, and though it took a few decade for the feeling of urgency to settle down, a few decade of dealing with the urge to pop on line and not being able to, I soon forgot the online world existed because I was that depressed. It was a very soothing period, filled with a lot of Santos books and meditative prayer and song writing. Arrrgh OA! ^_^

Have you ever noticed how noisy the “quiet” land of My Eee PC My Life Blog is? I love the noise, and a lot of the voices in this beautiful noise have been beyond helpful to me, in the same way that a big city has a lot of things to offer, like big hospitals that specialize in certain problems, huge libraries, fascinating museums. Cities are good things, blogging at My Eee PC My Life Blog is a good thing.

And sometimes the city life is just the ticket, exactly the right place to be, but I’d be less than honest if I didn’t add that there are some times when a guy needs to get out into the country and stand in the middle of a big field and just breath deeply and go wEeeEee!

Well, this urge to (temporarily, I hope) stop my blog has remained consistent, now having reached the point where I’m 99.99% sure it’s time to stop blogging here maybe because of the contest mechanics. Since I’m not a perfectionist, 99.99% is good enough for me. :)

Which is why I’m writing this note as a goodbye, hoping these pitiful little strokes on Mystique’s keyboard can convey the feeling of a warm hug and a big smile and a huge thank you to each and every one of you My Eee PC My Life Blog bloggers and readers. Thank you so much for being a part of my life My Eee PC My Life Blog, and thank you for letting me be a part of yours. It has truly been a pleasure.
