Just as I got back home to my hometown, mom told me to go directly to the mall’s stadium to go see my dad and kuya since they are in a motorshow and mom would just meet me there. Instant family get together on a sunday. My dad and kuya are suckers for anything that have wheels- cars( vintage cars, that is), motorbikes, bikes, trucks and all the macho stuff I can’t even name. And yearly, dad and my kuyas never fail to miss out joining car competition. As again this year, it took them months to rebuild their entry cars from old piece of metal from the scrap skeleton of old cars. Amazing, I must say. I saw the before and after of these cars and you would just be amaze how different it looks now.
It was already awarding when I got there.
So… who are the winners?

Wooden Truck. My dad and brother’s car entry which won Best Vintage car in two categories.

My little brother loves me but he loves my ASUS more. As soon as he saw me, instead of saying Hi, he quickly asked: “Achi, where is your ASUS? BORROW!!” I smiled and asked a kiss from him before giving him my ASUS. He quickly sat in the wooden truck and was happily spending his time with my ASUS.

Vintage Landcruiser. (forgot to take a picture of the whole car) Won the best vintage in Japanese car category.

My cousin and my kuya’s friends also won in different categories. In fact, I think their group won the most trophies in the event. :)

After the event, our stomach were already growling and it was now time to celebrate. Went to our favorite local restaurant for dinner. As usual, my little brother borrowed my ASUS again to show mum some funny videos, insisting she must watch it.
Aaaah, I miss having Sunday family dinner.

As the saying go:” the family that eats together, stays together.
And I add..
spends more quality time with each other.
ASUS is part of our family now. :)
later,
Jamie
