(written earlier, just posted it now)

Finally, a new day has dawn. Yesterday had been quite a hectic day for me from cleaning the water that was slowly incurring inside my room to the stranded friend who suddenly texted me and asked if she could stay with me for the meantime. I said yes of course.

Today is a better day. It just is.

Today I finally brave the aftermath of Ondoy and with my backpack with me and my ASUS toted in my sling bag, I was ready to go back home in my province. No cars are available that I could hitched in, So it was either the bus or just not go home. Bus it is.

Read this entry that I’ve did while I was in the bus:

11:38 AM

I am now here in the bus. Finally, I can go home.  The bus ride will take about 5 hours++ (depending how bad the road is after Ondoy struck).

It will be a long ride. Iwas more worried about my friends, especially C., B. and P.

C. had been stuck in the 2nd floor of their house ever since 1pm yesterday since flood had went in and covered the whole first floor of their house. Besides that, they weren’t able to bring any food with them and haven’t eaten the whole time. They didn’t have water, electricity and cell site during the whole incident.

She texted and said:” Today, the water have finally went down and we are just cleaning away the aftermath of Ondoy.”

B. was in the airport yesterday. He was supposed to go to Macau but his flight was re-sched until further notice. They are waiting ducks in the Airport, can’t go home since the taxi’s were charging like crazy and the roads to their house are unpassable.

And finally he texted in and said:” they are about to leave Manila now.”

P. on the other hand, still worries me till now.

She wasn’t online the whole day yesterday. It was unusual for her not to be online even for one day. So it got me worried when I texted her yesterday and she didn’t answered back. I thought maybe she was busy with moving stuffs and all sorts.

Today I’ve learned from the radio that their municipality is being heavily flooded and is still submerged at the flood as of this moment. I texted her again. No reply still.

Can’t call her too.

I’m really getting worried…

So much has happened yesterday and today, all just because of this unexpected rain.

But what best we got from this whole incident is knowing Filipinos willingly help out each other during times like this.

Can’t help but be proud to be Filipino right now. :)

Now in NLEX with my ASUS keeping me company for the whole journey. Still writing down some things in notepad just so I can’t forget a list of to do when I get back to Manila.  Will also watch Gossip Girl season 3 episode 2. Can’t be anymore happier to see the sun has finally risen. Finally, I’m on my way home. Its just me, ASUS and my back pack in tow. Everything will be alright. I will be home in 5 hours time.
